From the SF Bay area-I have been fishing every night/morning for the last month in a very special spot here on the Peninsula. I knew there were large stripers there-I could see them in the water.
I threw everything I had at them-every lure imaginable, live bait, you name it. Then one morning after re-organizing my tackle, I looked up in my garage and noticed a 5 inch original AC plug black back silver sides white belly hanging there. I had purchased lure in 2001 and never used it. First fish that fell for it went 18lbs. 35 in. very respectable where I am from. Two days later a 31 lb. 40 incher-same spot. This morning-37.8 lb 44 incher. Thank you Allen, THESE LURES WORK! Although now lure is destroyed.
hey, its just a piece of wood. That can happen at times. a 5 inch lure sure is small for those size stripers you caught. We use 12 inchers, 9 inchers down here mostly for big stripers. Looks like your in for an order...good job... _________________
Thanks again Allen. I feel that in this location, the fish are keying on smaller bait. It is a very small, very shallow spot, no more than 4 feet at the deepest. The fish are hitting in a narrow channel, right at my feet, literally. A 9 inch or 12 inch would probably work, but you would only get about 2 or 3 cranks before you would have to cast again. Amazing to find such large fish in such small water. Keep up the good work, I will be ordering soon. BTW, these were luhr-jensen models that unfortunately succumbed to the cracking, peeling issues mentioned elsewhere on the sight. I am excited to get my hands on a "real" AC plug that will stand up to these aggressive fish!

Order some handmades from Allan and you will not be dissapointed!
The fish love em and so will you!
The 12'' can be super slow rolled on top and the big striper will hammer them!!!!
Its a sight to be seen when a pig hammers a big plug on top!
Addictive-you said it brother. 30 pound + fish in less than 4 feet of water tend to spend more time out of it than in it! I love catching big fish from the bank-on light tackle. 7ft medium action rod with 12 or 14 pound SilverThread. I like to challenge myself! Total topwater action-it is violent!
