I was down there today and yesterday, Oct, 18th between 5 and 6 pm they had a hard rain. There is mud all over the road and down by the bottom it was 2 to 4 feet deep from all the rain. They had tractors and trucks clearing the road all the way from the top to the bottom...I've been going down there now for maybe 20 years and I haven't quite seen it like that....
The manager at the marina said the hatchery guy told him they might have the pipes fixed by late spring for stocking trout, they will get fry and start raising trout. Maybe by late fall....I will believe it when I see it... _________________

The WBNFH website shows that they are digging up some pipes and such in prep for the new pumping equipment, so maybe I'll back off on the relentless badgering I'm giving the DOI/USFWS.
On second thought, the DOI/USFWS deserve the constant badgering for shutting down our trout hatchery,,, and then lying about it!
Gotta keep at 'em. They will lolly gag and take all the time possible so as to not do their job. No different than when some arrogant fool is made to do something that they don't want to do. Drag feet, hmmm haaaing around, doing a half assed job on purpose. It's more important than ever to keep at em. Soon we will taste the sweet flavor of victory. Ok. I sound like a third world General so I will quit. Seriously though, don't lose sight of the goal.
